"Smart" RF Coordinator -- RF Spectrum Analysis & Frequency Coordination for Wireless ProAudio
RF Coordinator is an advanced software application designed for the wireless, professional audio industry. Combining RF spectrum and intermodulaton analysis its computational engine rapidly generates frequency sets of intermodulation distortion-free (IMD-free) radio frequencies, applying the patented "Smart Frequency Set" algorithm. The resultant frequency sets are used for frequency coordination -- that is, assigning the most reliable channels to your wireless transmitters.
Not all frequencies in a frequency set are equally reliable -- the Smart Frequency Set algorithm ranks frequencies according to their susceptibility to intermodulation distortion. This allows you to prioritize channel assignments. Intermodulation analysis (IMA) is very CPU-intensive and requires millions of computations to generate all the potential intermodulation products that could interfere with your assigned transmitter frequencies. The density of intermodulation products will vary across a frequency range -- as a result, transmitter frequencies that are assigned to areas of low density are more reliable and less susceptible to intermodulation distortion (IMD). It comes down to a game of probabilities -- the lower the probability for IMD then the more reliable the assigned transmitter frequency.
The Smart Frequency Set method of assigning channels to a set of sound sources is unique: it creates 3 categories of intermod-free frequencies with different stringencies -- strict, moderate and lenient. Furthermore, within each category the frequencies are ranked from highest-to-lowest reliability based on the density of neighboring intermod products. No other software or system provides this level of granularity of intermodulation analysis -- not even expensive hardware solutions -- that allow you to tailor your frequency assignments according to priorities that you assign to your transmitters.
RFCoordinator eliminates the need to export static spectrum traces from one program and import them into others (e.g. Shure WWB6) for analysis since it combines both RF spectrum and intermodulation analysis in the same application. Furthermore, the two are tightly "coupled" -- there is always a Smart Frequency Set being monitored during spectrum scans. If you change the frequency range being scanned then a new Smart Frequency Set is computed. Also, pressing the 'Recompute' button will take into account the spectrum trace (and threshold that you specified) to compute a new Smart Frequency Set. And that's about as complicated as it gets -- perform a spectrum trace and press the 'Recompute' button and you've got your Smart Frequency Set.
In a hostile RF environment why leave your wireless planning to chance ?
Take the guess work out of configuring your wireless audio gear -- RFCoordinator enables you to choose the optimal channel assignments -- free of RF interference and intermodulation distortion (IMD). RFCoordinator offers detailed RF spectrum scans using easy-to-view, graphical displays, along with interference-free channel assignments and frequency monitoring. Real-time RF spectrum analysis combined with Smart Frquency Sets delivers optimal channel assignments for even the most demanding RF environments.
Free Trial Version
|Trial Period:||3 application launches per RF Explorer device (i.e. serial number).|
If you do not have a license key and the software has not been previously registered on your PC, then you will be prompted to run in "Trial" mode. "Trial" mode is fully functional -- the only limitation is the application is limited to 3 launches per RF Explorer device (i.e. serial number). After 3 launches the "Trial" mode ends and a license key is required to continue using the application.
Purchase / Download
|Digital license key for software registration. Unlimited installations -- however,
each RF Explorer device (i.e. serial number) requires its own license key.
|Download MacOS (Apple Silicon)|
|Download MacOS (Intel Core)|
|Purchase RF Explorer Device (World-wide Distributors)||RF Explorer|
RFCoordinator runs natively under Windows and MacOS architectures -- both Intel x64 and Apple Silicon (M1/M2). When you register a license key it becomes associated with the serial number (S/N) of a specific RF Explorer device and NOT a machine. You are permitted to install the Windows and MacOS versions of the software on as many machines as you like. However, during the registration process the license key you purchased becomes associated with a particular RF Explorer device and its serial number. If you have only one RF Explorer device then you are good to go. But if you have more than one RF Explorer device then each will require its own license key.
|RF Analyzer:||Any model RF Explorer device connected to PC via USB cable that supports both power and data|
|Operating System:||Windows 10 (or later), MacOS Catalina (10.15) or later, including both M1/M2 (ARM64) and Intel Core (x64) architectures||Internet Connection:||Required for activating the license key, registration validation and tracking the trial period|
