RigExpert IT-24 — Low-Cost, Handheld 2.4x GHz RF Spectrum Analyzer
RigExpert IT-24 is a universal RF tester for the 2.4x GHz ISM band. It boasts 3 RF diagnostic tools in a single, handheld device — a 2.4x GHz RF spectrum analyzer with 3 graphical diagnostic charts, a power meter for measuring the output transmit power of any wireless device (including Wi-Fi access points), and a meter for measuring the SWR transmission efficiency of RF cables and antennas. RigExpert IT-24 is the ideal test and measurement device for troubleshooting a broad array of RF-related applications in the 2.4x GHz ISM band — for example, Wi-Fi problems related to RF interference.

2.4x GHz RF Spectrum Analyzer
RigExpert IT-24’s most compelling feature is a 2.4x GHz RF spectrum analyzer. It supports a frequency range of 2300 – 2600 MHz that includes the Wi-Fi, WiMAX and ZigBee wireless standards. There are 3 graphical, diagnostic charts you can choose from — peak and average levels, density graph and waterfall graph.
SWR Meter
A unique feature of RigExpert IT-24 is its SWR meter. By attaching an RF cable or antenna to one of its connectors you can measure both the single-point return loss and also single-wave ratio (SWR). The SWR metric reflects the transmission efficiency of a cable or antenna at a single frequency or across a frequency range.
Power Meter
RigExpert IT-24 also has a power meter feature — it can be used to measure the output transmit power of any wireless device that transmits in the frequency range 2300 – 2600 MHz. When troubleshooting a Wi-Fi system, this feature can be used to measure the output power of a Wi-Fi access point. The output power of a Wi-Fi access point will affect its coverage area and also influence channel congestion.
